Operations of a 14-month, 24/7, faith-based, residential recoveryprogram for individuals with substance abuse and life controllingissues. A desire to change is the pre-requisite for entry. Once this isrealized, no one is viewed as beyond hope.services include telephone interventions, interviews, websiteinformation, the recovery program, residential care, discipleship andcharacter-building curriculum and instruction, personal counseling andmentoring, group sessions, work projects, community outreachassistance, corrections facility meetings, referral services,prevention programs, and presentations to churches, schools and civicorganizations.
Community outreaches - these are conducted in the inner-city ofbaltimore to:1) provide information and substance-abuse prevention education to thegeneral public, particularly children and youth.2) spread the word about the Teen Challenge recovery program and shareour success stories.3) share the positive message of life-changing through faith in jesuschrist.special events include:1) community clean up efforts2) vacation bible school (one 5-day week in the summer)
