Temple Education Ministries aims to make an impact in the Upstate through love, Christian fellowship, and outreach while addressing individual needs of the homeless, low-income, and at-risk citizens in the target rural areas of Inman, Gramling, Campobello, Boiling Springs, Wellford, Lyman. The h.o.p.e. soup kitchen opened in July 2009 and operates on Wednesdays when a meal is served. Participants are free to socialize, engage in structured exercise or games, and be involved in nutritional demonstrations.

Program areas at Temple Education Ministries

The h.o.p.e. (helping others prosper and excel) soup kitchen opened in july of 2009, and operates on wednesdays, when a meal is served, and participants are free to socialize, engage in structured exercise or games, and be involved in nutritional demonstrations and/or talks. Health screenings and blood pressure checks are available. Grants have provided a well equipped exercise room, and a computer lab for teaching basic skills. Non-perishable food boxes are available to take home; produce and frozen items are given when available, as well as toiletries. A recently constructed climate controlled storage room, also with the help of community support, allows participants to have access to fresh produce.in reaching our goals of serving the multi-county area, approximatey 5,000 participants on wednesdays during 2022 were served.

Our ministry seeks to provide tangible evidence of christ's love in the lives of those experiencing hunger and food insecurity. Meals are served through the inman, sc h.o.p.e soup kitchen,"helping others to prosper and excel". Individuals served weekly, number from 70 to 140.
