Information function:1) provide materials at Tennessee dietetics association convention and other heath focused meetings2) provide training, educational kits and other resources to health coordinators, graduating educators, and consumers3) provide health food editors/food professionals with resources (press releases, timely recipes) about consumer Beef information4) create school foodservice opportunities for Beef promotion5) ag in the classroom training; promotion through farm bureau; provided teaching kits to teachers to use in their classes to promote healthy eating habits6) county farm field days for children; provided educational materials7) work with Industry partners to establish education and outreach programs using Beef ambassador, masters of Beef advocacy, and social media8) participate in consumer exhibits, promotions, trade shows, and events that maximize visibility and educational opportunities for Beef information9) host 4-6 cooking classes/demonstrations in demo kitchen for community and special groups10) host guest chef appearances in demo kitchen and post on our website11) purchase and distribute consumer information and give-a-ways (recipes, cookbooks, caps, aprons, cutting boards, stickers, etc. )12) promote july Beef month to highlight Beef's positive role in a healthy diet
Industry relations:1) Beef days with Industry and consumer groups2) year-end buyer's cards supplies to stock yards3) monitor state and national Industry issues and respond to local media with current and factual information as necessary. Relay local issues to ncba. 4) update tbic directors and Industry leaders to current issues and relay unified Industry messages5) inform Industry organizations and individual producers about the Beef checkoff program through press releases, newsletters, and annual reports
Promotion function:retail/foodservice1) sponsor ut Beef day with radio ads2) work to engage chefs and culinary schools with informative educational materials and events
