Program areas at Tennessee Charter School Center
The Tennessee Charter School Center (tcsc) is playing a critical role in providing technical support to new and high-quality public Charter schools in Tennessee and advocating for policies at the local and state level in an effort to enable public Charter schools to grow and operate successfully. Tcsc provided technical assistance and compliance support to Charter schools across the state. Tcsc monitored over 60 bills during the 2022 legislative session and advocated for key policies that helped support the public Charter School landscape in Tennessee.
Supporting high quality schools tcsc hosted multiple trainings covering: advancing equity, Charter School management, Charter 101, special education, and Charter facility training. Tcsc was able to assist schools with sourcing capital for facilities projects, which directly lowered the cost of borrowing.
