Program areas at Tennessee Tennis Association

Adult league Tennis - in league Tennis, members form teams and play other teams in their local community league; the winning teams advance to the state championship level and play other teams during 3-day tournaments. The winning teams from the state level advance to the sectional championships (nine states comprise the southern Tennis Association section); winning sectional teams advance to the national championships. Adult league Tennis is the single most popular program we offer. During 2020, we offered seven different adult Tennis leagues and resulting championships: 18 & over adult league, 40 & over adult league, 55 & over adult league, 65 & over adult league, mixed doubles league, tri-level league, and combo doubles league. Player participation for all seven leagues totalled over 22,500 in 2022.
Rally cats junior Tennis- in 2021, usta tn continued to receive grant funding to run a beginner Tennis program for kids aged 4-10. Instruction incorporates skills and athletic development and programming is geared toward enabling children to gain the experience needed to advance to match play in junior team Tennis or usta junior tournaments.
Jr. Team Tennis - jr. Team Tennis (jtt) applies the adult league concept to youths aged 8-18. Children form teams, which play against each other in local community leagues. All jr. Team Tennis teams may advance to the state championships by playing a minimum number of team and individual matches; teams which win at the state championships advance to the sectional championships (nine states comprise the southern Tennis Association section); winning sectional teams advance to the national championships.
