Tennessee Voices for Victims engages and empowers victims and citizens in reducing violent crime. They present victim impact to incarcerated men and women, as well as educational programs. Additionally, they have a special project to establish homicide loss support groups throughout Tennessee and a mass violence initiative to provide victim assistance during events.

Program areas at Tennessee Voices For Victims

This is a project to provide trained grief counselors for homicide survivors in the judicial districts in Tennessee. There were 8 active homicide loss support groups active during this year.
TDOC victim impact facilitation with incarcerated men and women in prison and jail. We had 1,810 participants in these classes for 2023.
Tennessee Victim Assistance mass violence initiative. Working with TN District attorney Generals to help them implement the victim assistance mass violence protocol for their judicial districts and to form their victim assistance response teams.
