Elm home alive prototype: the fab tree hab is a multispecies habitat, blending indigenous tree-grafting with comitational design and sustainable materials to create a living structure seamlessly integrated into its environment. Located in upstate new york, the 1,000 square foot prototype nurtures biodiversity and serves as an educational public observatory, challenging traditional architectural paradigms.
Founded in 2009, One lab is terreforms education arm and offers design programs and fellowships. One lab summer studios program provides high school students with a project-based summer program which introduces students to the fundementals of bio-materials, environmental, and regenerative design.
Mycoform chair: sustainable design exhibition showing our mycoform chair. As a model for furniture that is compostable and degradable using biomaterials such as mycelium. It was sold to the new south wales department of education. It was sent to australia, flagged by customs and returned.
