Women's leadership/economic literacy aims to strengthen, encourage and build upon Women's natural leadership and entrpreneurial ability in order to help indigenous Women fight the pervasive poverty in our communities. Poverty impacts our capacityto make healthy choices in matters of nutrition and other aspects of daily life.
Indigenous Women's health - as a native woman led community-based organization, twu is directly involved in addressing the challenges of reproductive health and justice for indigenous Women. We believe that every woman has the right to a birthing experience that promotoes autonomy, dignity, respect, and empowerment for the mother, child, and family.
Environmental justice - increase local awareness of envrionmental issues and provides a forum for networking and education between members of affected communities. Advocate for the needs of our communities through international, national, and local avenues. Share the knowledgeof healing, protecting, and supporting environmental health. Promote dialogue between generations, cultures, and professions about environmental justice.
