2023 was a transformative year at Texan By Nature and a growth year for Texas conservation across the board. With increasing corporate investment in both Texas and global conservation and increased commitment of government funds, the future of conservation is headed towards much greater positive impact for our natural resources, economy, and health. We have a significant opportunity to drive lasting, local conservation action.our 2023 progress includes:a record-breaking conservation summit reaching over 900 attendees, further development of our return on conservation framework, launch of trees for texans, impacting 219,000 people with 626 native trees planted, growth to 151 conservation partners, 77% direct program engagement By conservation partners, 76% growth of our txn membership program, 800 pounds of produce grown for food in secure families, 4.7m people, 11.1m acres, and 973 species positively impacted through txn conservation wrangler, over $3.4m in funding for Texas water action collaborative projects, replication of & funding for multiple txn conservation wrangler projects, continued leadership in & support of statewide initiatives for water, & pollinators.
