Program areas at TABE
Tabe presents an annual conference for Bilingual Education. Bilingual Education professionals and supporters from across Texas gather for professional learning, collaboration, and celebration. Attendees gain knowledge to educate children and their families to know the power of their cultural roots and the potential impact of the academic success of their children. Each year tabe awards scholarships to three recipients who are graduate students planning to pursue an advanced degree in Bilingual Education.
Tabe has approximately 1000 members on average each year. Members do not receive specific benefits, but do receive monthly newsletters and instant advice from tabe staff whenever the need arises. Membership dues support tabes Bilingual Education efforts.
Efforts to promote and advance Bilingual and bicultural Education and to disseminate educational research and legislative updates to its members and to the general public.
