The corporation's mission is to address the Diaper gap and its impact on individuals in crisis. In 2023, the corporation operated four programs that included: essentials to your door, essential community partnerships, calm parent and disaster relief. The corporation is able to accomplish much of this through its approach of partnerships with other nonprofit agencies and health service providers to provide such programs. The corporation's staff expertise is enrollment and procurement of services for their client population. Through this one-stop shop approach to services, the corporation helps break down language, transportation and other barriers that may stop someone from seeking services. The corporation also develops and coordinates sites from which the services are to be delivered. The sites have included non-profit organizations located in the poorest sections of the state. A total of 105,800 individuals were impacted along with 84 partner agencies and 18 counties served.a brief description of those four program areas are follows:essentials to your doorprovides essential items, namely diapers, adult diapers, and pads/tampons, to bexar county clients on their doorsteps. It is a contactless home delivery model that helps eliminate transportation and economic barriers that many clients encounter. Additionally, the organization supplements orders with additional essential items that clients may need.essential community partnershipsthe program comprises a network of critical nonprofit agencies throughout Texas to create centralized locations for specific and general wrap-around services with essential items. The program addresses social determinants of health (sdoh) by coupling primary services, such as basic healthcare screenings, case management, and shelter, with access to essential items.calm parentthe program is a series of parenting classes that help reduce familial stress and improve parent-child bonding. Courses focus on teaching calming techniques and parenting skills to help with stressful situations that caregivers encounter. Participants gain these skills and receive specialized resources kits for implementing these newly-learned skills. Topics include: baby-proofing, diapering, potty training and self-care.disaster reliefthe program provides immediate community relief to individuals impacted by weather and social emergencies. Tdb allocates part of its total supplies and supplemental goods for emergencies.
