Program areas at Texas Foundation of Hope
Services provided to special needs adults, from 19-56 yrs of age, including dayhabilitation and work skills training. The work week is monday-friday and closed onmajor holidays. There are approximately 56 members in the program who are taughtgeneral work skills, positive work behaviors and appropriate social skills foron-the-job or in the community.
Members hand-make beaded items, including crosses, lanyards, bracelets, sun-catchersand rosaries. Craft items are then sold to retail vendors and at area craft fairs.members are involved in each step of production of crafts for which they receivefinancial compensation. Other members prefer training for job opportunitites inculinary, office, or maintenance skills. Members also participate in social andrecreational activities.
