Program areas at Texas Health Resources Foundation
The primary activity of Texas Health Resources Foundation is to develop and cultivate philanthropy and collaborative relationships within the healthcare community. In addition, the Foundation aligns with Texas Health Resources and its related organizations to foster programs and services offered and to improve the health of the communities served. Most of the grants given by the Foundation are made to support the activities of the members of the Texas Health Resources healthcare system. Activities undertaken during the year are targeted programs to identify, cultivate, solicit, receive, invest and grant philanthropic funds. Activities undertaken include: Capital Campaigns, Major Gift Program, Annual and Tribute Giving Programs, Planned Giving Program, Special Fundraising Events, and Hospital Affinity Groups. Grants were made in support of: education of physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, medical research, indigent patient programs, hospital equipment replacement and capital projects, other patient care services needed in the community, and operating expenses for certain departments at related Texas Health System hospitals.
