Program areas at Texas Liver Foundation

Liver Healing with HeART is a pediatric program encouraging pediatric liver patients to use art as a healing tool. The program was planned then redesigned as an online program because of covid. As a result of having to cancel an in person program the program was scaled back. 9 participants benefited from the program.
Pediatric Fatty Liver Disease Awareness program started with development of a poster "How Many Chocolate Chips are in Your Favorite Drink?" that we have placed in pediatric offices across Houston. More than 100 posters have been placed. The poster has a QR code that directs parents to a blog post on our website about pediatric fatty liver and our website contains additional information and links. We created the poster in collaboration with Doctors for Change who helped pay for the poster production; however, no grants or revenue were generated.
