Contribute to the general health and welfare of the citizens of Texas by educating the people of the state regarding the specific advanced training, qualifications and functions of those dentists who practice Oral and Maxillofacial surgery on an exclusive basis; to promote and encourage the advancement of the practice of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery to the highest standards and quality, to the end that the relations of the profession with the public shall be worthy of full confidence; to encourage the members to discharge their civic and professional responsibilities to the community; and to provide among its members opportunities for social and professional community.
