Honduras:TWM completed a new well at Quebrada Grande with a flow rate over 60 gallons per minute. We completed a water storage tank for the town of Ojo de Agua. We replaced the electric pump at La Chorrera with a new one. Our Honduran Health and Hygiene instructors led classes in 4 villages: Quebrada Grande, Ojo de Agua, la Chorrera, and El Tamarindo; they also attended 6-part course via zoom on the subject of climate change led by a volunteer with the TWM with a focus on health implications for Hondurans. TWM purchased and distributed new water filters for 40 families in the Danli Parish of Rev. Continue reading on Pg. 13 Victor Velasquez. We purchased hand pump parts from a manufacturer in India and had them shipped to Honduras. Our pump repair technician uses them to fabricate complete pumps. And we purchased new equipment and tools for our pump repair technician, including an electric portable pipe threader, and impact wrench, an acetylene torch, and a laptop computer. Finally, we made the necessary repairs on our Pump Repair Truck to keep it inworking order for as long as we can.
Navajoland: TWM is closely involved in planning three technically complex water projects in Navajoland: St. marys Public Water Point, Montezuma Creek Public Water Point, St. Johns Water Access Improvement. Our expenditures were for volunteers to travel to conduct a flow test at St. Marys to determine sufficient flow for a public access point, and to meet with stakeholders in the three projects.
