Program areas at The Ace Mentor Program of the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area
During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020, the program had 17 local high school ACE teams with approximately 228 students participating in its mentor program. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, in person programming ceased in early March. Several teams met virtually, but the majority of teams did not. The annual scholarship breakfast at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC was postponed to the fall (and ultimately held as a virtual event). The two student capstone project presentations were also cancelled and were replaced with a virtual Digital Design Competition.In addition, the Organization provided 27 college scholarships to individuals studying in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction, and related disciplines.
