The Addiction Center of Broome Cty provides state-of-the-art outpatient treatment services to individuals, their families, and significant others suffering because of chemical dependency. Clinic - The clinic program offers a mix of traditional group and individual outpatient counseling to individuals, their families and significant others who suffer from chemical dependency.
The health home program is a group of health care services providers working together to make sure individuals get The care and services they need to stay healthy. Once enrolled in health home The individual will have a care manager that works with them to develop a care plan. A care plan maps out The services they need, to put them on The road to better health.
Sor c, sor ttb, sor rhn 2 programs assists linking individuals to necessary services for substance use.
Rehab - The rehab program offers full day group counselling to individuals who are dually recovering from substance use and psychiatric illness.
Family navigator- this program is part of The The clinic program offers a mix of traditional group and individual outpatient counseling to individuals, their families and significant others who suffer from chemical dependency.
Peer engagement specialists- this program is also part of The clinic program and offers a mix of traditional group and individual outpatient counseling to individuals, their families and significant others who suffer from chemical dependency.
Sapt - through The substance abuse and mental health services administration sapt supplemental fundingopportunity oasas is providing non-proprietary prevention, treatment, and recovery service providersworkforce development/training awards.
Boces - this is a contract with Broome tioga boces where acbc provides two clinical staff members and two youthcertified recovery peer advocates. They are seeing students to screen for substance use disorder and assist withmanaging stress and healthier coping strategies. The boces staff are working with students at union endicott,boces east, boces west, johnson city, whitney point and deposit.
Esg - this is a contract with The Broome county department of social services where acbc provides two certifiedrecovery peer advocates to conduct outreach to homeless individuals, connect them with emergency housing,apartments, and landlords to assist them with housing.
Code blue - this is a contract with The Broome county department of social services from The new york state office oftemporary disability assistance (otda). The code blue warming Center provides shelter to approximately40 adults who are 18+ and without convictions for sex offenses or arson when it is 32 degrees or below.
Rhn transport - this is a contract with The new york state office of Addiction support services to provide assistance withtransportation for persons with substance use disorders to appointments and other needs that support recovery.
Syringe exchange (sep) - this is a contract with The new york state department of health and aids institute to offer harm reduction,sterile syringes/supplies to persons who are injecting drugs. The sep also includes referrals and linkages tocare.
Up comfort Center - The up-comfort Center is an overnight shelter operating five nights per week. The comfort Center can accommodate forty- two adults. All guests are given The option to receive care management and peer services. An evening meal, breakfast, showers, toiletries, and a bag lunch is provided.
Ai osf - aids institute opioid settlement funds
Bc osf - The Broome county opioid settlement funds were awarded to acbc by The Broome county health department. Acbc proposed to hire a prescriber to prescribe medications for opioid use disorder (moud), with a focus on harm reduction to include low threshold prescribing, overdose prevention, and wound care.
Cc osf - The chenango county opioid settlement funds were awarded to acbc by The chenango county mental hygiene department. Acbc proposed to focus on" addressing The needs of pregnant or parenting women and their families, including babies with neonatal abstinence syndrome." To achieve this, acbc is utilizing The cc osf funding for two evidence-based practices, seeking safety and The nurturing parenting program for families in substance abuse treatment and recovery.
Cfscny - acbc was awarded twenty thousand dollars to set up a play therapy program. Acbc was able to implement a child centered play therapy program. The funds awarded were utilized for training, clinical hours, and to set up The playroom.
Hcs 1 - The Broome county mental health department was awarded a nida healing communities study (hcs) grant. Acbc was awarded a grant to provide The peer services for The nida hcs. Acbc had three peers who focused on assisting individuals connect to medications for opioid use disorders and resources. The peers participated in The grant meetings and media campaigns.
Sos - acbc was contracted with chenango county catholic charities to provide services for The new york state office of mental health's safe options support (sos) program. Acbc employed The sos team, who was charged with becoming trained in critical time intervention (cti) and assisting individuals with complex needs who are unhoused.
University of baltimore - The white house office of national drug control policy, through The university of baltimore, awarded acbc its combatting overdose with community level intervention grant. Acbc is one of eight awards in The country. Acbc proposal focuses on partnering with a rural school and children/adolescent services provider to offer evidence-based screenings for trauma, substance use, and offer interventions such as assessment, youth peer advocate services, and wellness recovery action planning.
