Program areas at The Agape Puppets
This has been The most incredible year we have traveled across asia, africa, europe, and north and south america. Our adventures have caused us to cross some 20 states. This means that we have worked in 10 countries and shared with many children in The united states as well, always talking with them about The hope of jesus we always try to target The children who are living in either very difficult places or having a very difficult home life. In The united states, we provided over 1000 jesus storybook bibles to children in very poor areas, many of whom did not own a single book. During our travels, we resupplied 22 teams in brazil with new and consumable equipment that they needed. For our main team from peru to travel to The brazilian conference and join us so that we could give them a lot of equipment that they also needed. We trained and equipped a new team in cairo egypt, who focuses on The poor children of cairo and The underserved children of upper egypt. We provided thousands of water bottles to children who were required to have them for school in egypt, but simply did not have The money to pay for them. Twice , we traveled across ireland and northern ireland with an irish band doing programs on The street. This gave us an opportunity to talk with people from all over The world. I went to istanbul and worked with women and their children who are refugees from syria, afghanistan, iraq, and ladies out of africa, who had been trafficked. In england, i met with a british charity, who does very similar work to what we do and we often partner on projects, particularly things that serve poor children in nepal, parts of africa, and other places in The middle east. Our trip to nepal this year allowed us to serve thousands of children who live at a level of poverty that an american really cannot grasp. One of The things we did was to provide hundreds of coats for children in The lower himalayas who had no coats. Across Georgia and Tennessee , we did many christmas programs for children and teenagers. I especially enjoyed doing a puppet show and providing gifts for children whose fathers and mothers are in prison. I really loved this year and cannot wait to see what god will do in this coming year
