Program areas at American College of Neuropsychopharmacology

Annual meeting: the annual meeting provides a venue for members and invited guests to present the best brain and behavior research in the world. It is designed to encourage dialogue, discussion and debate among attendees. The 2023 meeting had 2,184 scientific attendees. This was a hybrid meeting. Eighty-five percent of the attendees completing the meeting evaluation rated the acnp meeting as "better than most" clearly superior" to other meetings they attend.
Travel awards: this program seeks to encourage and mentor young scientists in the field, as well as minority participation. In 2023,the program selected 67 travel awardees to the annual meeting.
Publications: this program publishes a monthly journal, Neuropsychopharmacology, as well as an annual supplement, Neuropsychopharmacology reviews. There is also an open access journal covering research that involves the use of digital technologies. These publications continue to extend the mission of the College to disseminate scientific advances in the field. The journal's impact factor in 2023 was 7.6, ranking 20 out of 155 in psychiatry, 29 out of 277 in pharmacology, and 29 out of 272 in neuroscience. The journal is one of the most widely read scientific journals in the world.
