Community residence - provides support to adults in housing and home life in a variety of settings, ranging from twenty-four hour supervised settings, to supportive apartment living, to a small shared living experience with people with or without disabilities. The Arc of Rensselaer County provides residential supports to over 170 individuals who live in over 80 locations throughout The agency's service area. The Arc provides a range of services, from The traditional group home setting to supportive apartments and life-sharing. Group residential settings provide 24-hour staff supports to a group of three or more individuals. Supportive apartments provide staff supports to one or two individuals living in their own apartment as needed. Life sharing offers live-in staff support in The same home as The person being supported. Paid neighbors offer live-near supports and reside in either The same building or complex as The person supported. The residential structure varies depending on The needs and wishes of The person supported. Brunswick center services - provides day programming for adults involving a wide variety of opportunities with The community as well as physical, speech, and occupational therapy, prevocational services, geriatric services and independent living. It is a group-based day habilitation program that supports citizens of our community who are developmentally disabled. Bcs offers both community-based and site-based supports, with a focus on advancing community membership, personal wellness, and meaningful relationships.bcs offers specialized supports to people with intellectual challenges along with physical and/or mobility concerns and who may be aging. Although supports are mostly provided in a group settings, The person and their interests and unique gifts are always honored.number of individuals served: 83 units of service: 15787
Riverside enterprises - this is The vocational training component which includes The following: supported employment for adults in various job settings throughout The capital district. Vocational services are for adults who perform work with packaging products and wire forming. Day habilitation services. A school-to-employment program assists students from three school districts as they transition from The public school system into employment.
