The organizations primary activities include an Annual World Convention hosted in coordination with Columbia Universitys Harriman Institute in New York, as well as regular European conferences. Virtual ASN brings together and fosters a worldwide community. Nationalities Papers is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Cambridge University Press for the Association for the Study of Nationalities. Nationalities Papers is the place to turn for cutting edge multidisciplinary work on nationalism, migration, diasporas, and ethnic conflict. The journals geographical emphasis is on Central, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe, Russia, Ukraine, the Caucasus, and Eurasia.
