The Battery Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational corporation, was created in 1994 with a mission to rebuild and revitalize The Battery and Castle Clinton National Monument, which is the park's major landmark. They spearhead improvement efforts in partnership with the city of New York's department of parks & recreation (NYC Parks) to transform, maintain, operate, and program The Battery public park at the southern tip of Manhattan. Throughout 2021, The Conservancy continued its efforts towards this mission.

The Battery Conservancy partners with The city of new york's department of parks & recreation (nyc parks) to transform, maintain, operate, and program The Battery, new york city's public birthplace park at manhattan's southern tip. Tbc provides litter collection, maintains lawns, inspects and repairs park equipment, and performs specialized horticultural services for a park that annually serves 7 million visitors from throughout The world.
The Battery Conservancy provides educational and recreational programs free to The public. This includes Battery urban farm's educational programming, which ultimately serves approximately 7000 schoolchildren, as well as birdwalks, yoga classes, and historical tours.
