Program areas at The Blood and Tissue Center Foundation

Funds raised by The Blood & Tissue Center Foundation assisted in numerous exciting projects for south Texas Blood & Tissue. Aging Blood collection equipment was replaced in The community donor rooms and on mobile buses. Likewise, donor beds were able to be replaced in some of our community donor rooms. Foundation donations assured that renovations were completed in The hospital services & Tissue services department to allow more efficient flow of life-saving Blood, Blood components & Tissue from our headquarters building to community hospitals and other health partners. Red & white ball funds allowed for The purchase of three new vans for hospital services and three new vans for The donor services department. Donors stepped up in support of The replacement of bloodmobiles in victoria. And contributors assisted us in The need to attract and retain Blood donors and to show our appreciation for their time and The sacrifice they make to save lives. Contributions raised for biobridge global will allow for The erection of a new large digital sign in front of our headquarters building in 2024 that will make us even more visible to folks traveling along ih-10. Donor generosity has also allowed for The continued upgrades on our helipad which has proved very critical in The effort to save lives.
