Shared services include internal audit services, risk management services, and The academic and healthcare travel program which offers discounts for domestic and international travel.
During The year The Consortium received grants and funding from participating institutions to create an insurance captive to support The objectives of The member institutions. The primary objectives of this captive were long-term cost savings, more predictable costs that were less subject to commercial market volatility and to provide increased control of coverage and capacity.
