This organization provided affordable housing to low-income families and disabled persons through The operation of an 80-unit multi-family complex in phoenix, Arizona. During their fiscal year, The organization served 169 residents: 26% under 18, 51% aged 18-61, 22% aged 62-81 and 1% aged 82-95. In addition to providing decent, safe and sanitary affordable housing for low-income families and individuals with disabilities, this project employs a full-time service coordinator. The service coordinator is a valuable resource person who assisted youth and adult/senior residents in The project's neighborhood network (computer) center. In 2022-23 The service coordinator assisted children and youth with homework help, school/teacher intervention, tutor/mentoring, life-skills, and volunteer and (cont'd on sch o) scholarship opportunities. Adult residents benefited from assistance with: advocacy, case management, ged study/testing support, computer assistance, job search/resume writing/interviewing help, parenting classes, peer counseling, crisis counseling, emergency food/utilities/rental assistance, application/benefits assistance, substance abuse counseling, insurance/healthcare referrals, transportation and exercise and wellness. The service coordinator published a monthly newsletter with many helpful resources for resident self-referrals. The service coordinator partnered with diana gregory outreach services/gregory's fresh market who provided monthly delivery of fresh fruits and vegetables for residents at Broadway House.
