Educational programs and workshops.the bdc provides education programs and workshops for Bronx residents of all ages, including: a free innovative Documentary photography education program for middle and high school students; a digital photography program for community seniors; a professional education program for historically underrepresented adult bronx-based photographers; and a spanish-language introductory photography program for community members.
Exhibitionsthe bdc sees its exhibitions as a powerful method to address The urgent issues that impact The communities it serves, while creating a crucial catalyst for conversation. Each year, The bdc presents four major Documentary exhibitions-shows that incorporate a combination of prints, video, multimedia, and ephemera.
Public programs.each year, The bdc offers dozens of public programs in conjunction with its major exhibitions, including Documentary film screenings, artist slideshows, other interpretive programs, and free family portraits on five holidays.
