Program areas at The Bubbler Foundation
The Foundation provided funding to educators in the South Middleton School District for various projects and programs. One example includes an Arts in Education project for approximately 500 elementary students where students gained more in-depth knowledge of animation, green screen usage, and stop motion animation. Another example includes the Hands on History project in conjunction with the Cumberland County Historical Society which served approximately 750 elementary and high school students. This project provided hands on presentations and guided field trips focusing on the history of Cumberland County. Other service accomplishments include funding a scholarship program, purchase of a public address system, purchase of an e-bike, and purchase of educational supplies.
The Foundation provided funding to various civic organizations in South Middleton including the Amelia Given Library and SPY Program for their summer programs. Funding was also provided to Project Share and Carwood Farms to help provide food to families in need. Other service accomplishments include providing funds for rings to commemorate the state championship for the Boiling Springs High School girls field hockey team. In addition, the Foundation sponsors and participates in several events each year including a teacher appreciation day for the South Middleton School District, a senior citizen exposition hosted by South Middleton Township, The Bubbler Foundation Festival, fireworks display and Duck Regatta. The foundation also participates in events centered around Childrens Lake including the annual Christmas tree lighting and luminaries, Day at the Lake, and Foundry Day. An annual dinner is held in May each year to inform the community of our activities and accomplishments and to also honor school district and community individuals with induction to our Wall of Acclaim.
