Program areas at The Center in Hollywood

Housing and outreach The Center provides street-based outreach and housing services in our unique community of Hollywood. The centers programmatic offerings include direct engagement groups for more than 100 people experiencing homelessness each day. The Center maintained three housing/case management contracts in The period a los angeles county, department of health services funded housing for health/intensive case management services with an enrollment at 210 individuals and expenses of 1,091,610, b los angeles homeless services lahsa authority funded rapid rehousing with an enrollment of 75 and expenses of 607,586, and c lahsa funded covid recovery rehousing with an enrollment of 80 clients and expenses of 713,583. The Center contracts with The county of los angeles to provide street-based multidisciplinary outreach to The greater Hollywood community. More than 1,500 contacts are made each year by The centers four person outreach team.
Community wellness programs The Center is a multi-faceted non-profit homeless service provider focused on creating connections to community, health care, mental health care, and housing for individuals experiencing homelessness in los angeles. The heartbeat of The centers programming is its community wellness program, which serves more than 350 people each week in Hollywood. The Center offers trauma - informed interactive groups, and activities on weekday mornings. These activities create connection and a sense of belonging which are critical elements in The journey from street to home, elements many of us take for granted. The Center utilizes evidence based practices which focus on wellness and treats The whole person, rather than prescriptive, high-barrier programming. On a daily basis, The Center serves 100 to 145 people and sees more than 2,000 unique individuals annually. With The covid-19 pandemic, The centers wellness program shifted to meet The immediate food scarcity need in The neighborhood, while bolstering its availability of its mail service, where continued sch o
