Program areas at CBWW

Maternal and child health ensures that low income, pregnant women and their babies get The "healthy start" they deserve. Case managers provide home visitation to pregnant women, linking them to prenatal care and other important services, and provide health education and parenting skills until The baby turns 18 months old. In 2023, maternal and child health served a total of 863 participants, including 534 pregnant and postpartum women, 226 children ages 0-18 months, and 103 fathers.
The Women's economic self sufficiency program(wessp) assists low-to-moderate income women in becoming self employed by starting and/or expanding a micro-business through multiple sessions of business development and financial education training, peer-to-peer support, technical assistance and linkages to financial resources for The purchasing of business assets, as necessary. The program also offers one-session activities focused on financial literacy. In 2023, CBWW served 198 participants through one-session or multi-session economic empowerment sessions.
The Wellness program components include The free and low cost healthcare services (women's health, primary care, and behavioral health) to low-income, uninsured adults through a team of paid and volunteer medical professionals. The program also offers a community breast health initiative to provide support to medically underserved women to receive mammography screening, follow-up diagnostic services, and health education. Finally, community health education is offered to promote healthy lifestyles and improve health behaviors, ranging from healthy cooking, fitness, and stress management. In 2023, CBWW served over 1,285 patients and participants.
