The mission of the organization is to provide Rhode Island with a safe, accessible, and confidential environment where people and organizations can engage in constructive dialogue, effectively manage conflicts, and resolve disputes. The Center for Mediation and Collaboration Rhode Island trains, educates and mediates--empowering Rhode Islanders to resolve conflicts. The Center offers low cost mediation services and mediation training in Rhode Island communities, schools and courts. Conduct and teach mediations.

The Center for Mediation and Collaboration Rhode Island provides basic mediation training, professional development workshops and conflict resolution programs. In 2022, there were 5 basic mediation training classes resulting in 34 certified mediators. Four professional development trainings were held with 52 participants. The conflict resolution and communication skills program at the Rhode Island Training School had 13 students participating.
