Program areas at The Chemists' Club
Annual reception & dinner - eggnog reception and holiday party. Students from colleges & universities around The new york city area are invited by The Club to attend The Chemists' Club annual eggnog event, held in manhattan. The event brings together members of The past, present, and future generations of chemists & engineers. The event also features closing ceremonies of The international year of chemistry. At this event The winthrop-sears medal is awarded to an outstanding entrepeneur in The chemical or life sciences industry.
Annual general meetings and luncheons held throughout The year with various guest speakers. Held at various colleges and universities throughout The new york area. On campus events held throughout The year on various college campuses in and around new york city. These events are held to promote The current students' interest in The field of chemistry and chemical engineering. Students are encouraged to develop relationships with current members in The Club.
Icis kavaler award event - is a joint program of The Club and icis publishing. This award is presented at a formal dinner in manhattan. Held annually, The award & event honors The memory of arthur kavaler, a long time Club member and prominent journalist covering The chemical industry. The winner is selected by The top 40 chemical executives as recognized each year by icis.
The morris loeb memorial dinner is held annually to commemorate The Chemists' Club's founder, morris loeb, and is attended by The members in The Club. The Chemists' Club, in conjuction with unesco and The new york university chemistry department, host a bonding conference at cooper union which includes a presentation by industy experts, a student poster session, and a reception.
