Program areas at The Childrens Storefront

This year, The children'Childrens's Storefront launched our in-person playspace and expanded our early childhood program. To date, we have served over 200 families with babies and toddlers up to age three. Both our virtual and in-person play and learn program provide a safe and nurturing community, family-focused resources, and facilitative coaching from early childhood development specialists. Our coaching focuses on strategies to support healthy brain development, and it is offered in weekly sessions that include music, reading, art, and other developmentally-appropriate activities. The community response has been overwhelmingly positive, with The majority of our families reaching us through word-of-mouth referrals and participants sharing that they have a better understanding of how play and communication strengthens their child's brain.
