Program areas at The Chronic Disease Coalition
The cdc educated patients and policy makers on issues affecting Chronic Disease patients, and helped patients get their voices heard. Our direct and grassroots advocacy helped support patient-protection bills across The country, sending more than 1,000 patient letters to lawmakers. Our Chronic university, a free educational webinar series focused on Chronic Disease advocacy, had 10 great sessions that engaged patients and experts. Our team of patient ambassadors met with legislators in their home states, and at monthly meetings, advised The cdc on policy and lifestyle issues. Across all platforms, we have more than 10,000 followers, spending hours curating content and followers to ensure The right messages were getting to The right people. Continued on schedule o.in addition to The cdc's patient education and engagement work, we convened experts on complex issues such as medigap and pbm reform. We also developed a "patient access scorecard" that evaluated how accessible state legislatures were to Chronic Disease patients.
