Program areas at The Communications Network
Annual Conference:In 2023, The Communications Network hosted another sellout conference of over 900 attendees in Atlanta, Georgia at ComNet23. Over 95% of attendees rated the conference as either excellent or good. The conference featured a full slate of keynote speakers, breakout sessions, peer-led networking and learning opportunities, and new programming aimed at facilitating connection between attendees.
Communications:Network email engagement remained exceptionally high. We retired our Google Group listserv and replaced it with a members-only Slack workspace. We saw thousands of members join over the course of the year. A redesign of ComNetwork.org made it easier than ever to learn about The Networks offerings and plug into our community.
Management & General:Network programming expanded and improved in 2023. The organization debuted a new Slack community for members, which saw tremendous uptake and growth over the course of the year. Our webinars and newsletter continued to see high engagement, as did resources like ComNetworkDEI.org and Storytelling for Good. Our LOCAL groups across the country resumed in-person events and continued to grow. The Clarence B. Jones Impact Award uplifted another transformational communications campaign, and our Circles program also expanded its scope and membership.
