Program areas at The Concilio
Community engagement and outreach reaches individuals in The community via door-to-door block walking, community events, and social media campaigns. The latino initiative program also provides support to families in The form of financial assistance for rent or utilities, benefits enrollment (snap, chip, and medicaid), technology support, referrals for groceries, healthcare, childcare and covid-19 testing and vaccines.
The organization connects communities with health resources and educates them on The importance of preventative care, including assisting people with applying for food and medical assistance online, providing a none-week health education program for improving health behavior for parents and their childen and an education program to increse healthy and nutitious shopping.
The Concilio's parents advocating for student excellence (pase) program teaches parents how to positively impact their child's education by being actively engaged-they are taught how to navigate The school system, identify academic challenges, and how to provide a supportive- home learning environnment.
