Program areas at The Cookery
the Cookery cafe: this culinary program had 11 students of which two graduated in 2023. 17 total men were temporarily or transitionally housed. Food safety was taught to 35 inmates at davidson county sheriff's correctional facility.
Disciple houses: three disciple houses are currently operated. Between the three houses, there has been provided temporary and/or semi-permanent housing for eighteen men in 2023.
Food pantry: we handed out donated food items from whole foods to a youth enrichment program, an immigrant community and the homeless at the camps or on the street. Outreach: we took approximately 5,400 sandwich meals out to the homeless. We served approximately 3,060 sandwiches and/or meals at the Cookery cafe location.
