Obesity and The arts issueyear four (and final year) of a planned four-year effort to highlight The obesity epidemic in this country. This year involved a part set of educational activities: 1) a bi-monthly podcast to spotlight stories of opportunity, discovery, and courage that relate to obesity, weight, and wellness, and an awards show honoring leaders of The tv industry who effectively use their voices to make a positive difference in The obesity space.
Arts advocacytcc's longest continuing educational program is its annual trek to Washington, dc to meet with legislators and other government leaders and discuss The importance of arts and arts funding in america. A two-day affair that aims to enrich The lives of americans and make them better, more imaginative, more Creative, and more productive human beings.
Caregiving and ageism initiativecreated a series of educational events regarding The upheaval affecting american families that family caregivers now number more than 48 million people. Then launched The entertainment industry commission on caregiving, an initiative to shed light on The challenges faced by millions of family caregivers and raise awareness about their pivotal role in society.
Charitable and eductional purposes including The purpose of bringing together people in The arts and letters in order to learn about pressing issues so that they can better inform and influence The community and nation.
