The Dallas Opera produces outstanding mainstage and chamber opera repertoire, attracting national and international attention. It is committed to extensive community outreach and education, delivering in-person arts education programs to 9,835 students of all ages in FY2022. The mainstage performances at Winspear Opera House drew 22,687 patrons across four productions, including Madame Butterfly, Flight, The Barber of Seville, and The Pearl Fishers. Additionally, 5,099 participated in pre- and post-opera talks, open dress rehearsals, and other events.

MAINSTAGE AUDIENCE: 28,086 patrons attended 16 performances across 4 productions at Winspear Opera House: RIGOLETTO, HANSEL AND GRETEL, DAS RHEINGOLD, and COSI FAN TUTTE Another 5,327 participated in pre- and post-opera talks, open dress rehearsals, backstage tours, and other mainstage-related activities.
Community Engagement & Education programs: 9,393 North Texans enjoyed a range of community outreach programs, including 4,572 at 7 special concerts, 3,989 at 4 family performances of THE BILLY GOATS GRUFF and THE ELIXIR OF LOVE, and 832 at OperaTruck and other community-based performances. 16,640 students of all ages participated in our arts education programming, including 4 student matinee performances of THE BILLY GOATS GRUFF, Touring Opera performances in schools, Opera in a Suitcase workshops and performances in schools, dress rehearsals, and other workshops and education-oriented activities.
Digital programs: 22,355 viewed our digital programming, including and rebroadcasts of our 4 mainstage operas, education resources, and other performance-based content.
