The organization provides low-barrier, housing-focused shelter services in a 50 bed facility. Shelter guests receive case management based on a housing-first model with support from a housing navigator to assist The guest in securing appropriate, long-term housing. The organization provides rehoused individuals with at least 12 months of continued care case management, including several months of rental assistance. The organization also provides 35 one-bedroom supportive housing units with on-site wrap around services to ensure success in housing retention and self-sufficiency. Fiscal year 2024 was a busy one at The Delores Project. We finalized a new strategic plan that focuses on being a destination employer, having exceptional and impactful programs and services, and growing our capacity to do, be, and serve more people in The future. The strategic planning process allowed for many conversations about not just what we do, but how we do it and why that makes The Delores Project special and unique. At The end of The day, people new and old to our community say The same thing; we are a place where everyone who walks through our doors is reminded of their worth, dignity, and belonging. Thus our new tagline, building belonging, was born. To fully bring it to life, we partnered with renowned artist rae senarighi to create our new born to belong merchandise and commission a beautiful new portrait of our namesake Delores big boy.we are proud that in fy 2024 we increased our investment in our team by completing an organizational restructure that enabled us to provide significant wage increases for all of our direct service and managerial staff, making us one of The highest-paying shelter providers in The city and county of denver. As an organization focused on building community and helping people heal and permanently resolve their homelessness, we know that our mission impact depends on The talent, skill, and commitment of those who meet The needs of those we serve around The clock. We had another challenging year financially in 2024. As we look toward our twenty-fifth anniversary in 2025, we are focused on finding new and sustainable sources of funding to replace many of The time-limited covid funding that helped us to grow our programs and services in recent years. We have a newly- expanded fundraising team and several strategies in place to help us recoup some of The funds lost in recent years as legacy funders moved their priorities away from shelters. As always, The ongoing generosity of our supporters and The commitment of our staff and volunteers remain crucial in keeping this big, diverse, beloved community afloat. We look forward to continuing to positively impact The lives of our neighbors in need as we work to ensure all those we serve have The community of support and housing stability they need to thrive.
