Program areas at The Detroit Creativity Project

The Detroit Creativity Project (dcp) delivers most program services under The improv Project. The improv Project provides year-round programs for detroit-area youth, educators, and nonprofit leaders. Programs include workshops, semester-long improv courses, and improv-integrated classes in digital media, social/emotional learning, and english language arts. The youth served represent diverse ethnic and cultural groups from Detroit, hamtramck, and The downriver area. Most are considered economically disadvantaged by federal poverty measures. The majority of The dcp's programs are offered at no charge. There was a small portion of revenue attributed to paid programs in 2023.
