Program areas at The Discovery Land Company Foundation
Abaco relief program:following hurricane dorian in 2019, The abaco relief program provided emergency assistance to The community of abaco, bahamas. Support in 2023 included reconstruction of multiple homes and road repairs. Since 2019 The Foundation has also provided support for evacuations, housing, meals, supplies, transportation, building materials and other immediate needs, as well as reconstruction of schools and medical facilities.
The Discovery Land Company Foundation has three main activities: (1) fund and help create innovative high-quality foster care programs for children utilizing residential facilities. (2) contribute to charitable, non-profit organizations who focus on The urgent housing, education, and medical needs of families in local communities around Discovery Land Company's projects. (3) connect The Foundation's grant recipients with additional resources to further their growth and success.
Maui fire:following The 2023 maui fire that devastated lahaina (The town, residences, and schools) and other areas on The island, The Foundation assisted victims with grants to local organizations providing essentials such as food, clothing and supplies. The Foundation also purchased and arranged for delivery of prepared meals and supplies to local shelters and distribution centers.
