The major function of The Douglas Anderson School of The Arts Foundation, Inc. (da Foundation) is to provide support and ensure that critical Arts funding is provided in order for The School, Douglas Anderson School of The Arts (a duval county, fl public School), to meet its mission of providing students cutting edge training, experiences and intensive study in one of several Arts area offered; as well as, support The School staff in ensuring that The Arts programs are rigorous and meet The standards set by out nations top Arts conservatories, art institutes and universities with top Arts programs. Da Foundation funding is used in several different ways: to underwrite crucial artist programs, Arts partnerships that benefit art students, visiting professional artists, student summer Arts scholarships, Arts teachers fellowships, independent and programmed Arts study designed to supplement Douglas Anderson School of The Arts curricular opportunities. The three largest services measured by expenses that ensure The schools specialized Arts needs of students studying an intensive art form are met 1) underwriting professional guest artists, 2) Arts performing that includes The purchase of specialized Arts euqipment/software/theatre lighting and 3) student summer Arts scholarships.
