Program areas at The Earthfire Institute
Earthfire Institute provided care for rescued native wildlife by providing shelter, food, water, and veterinary care for 31 wild animals, 365 days of The year under licenses from The usda and Idaho state fish and game. Earthfire also performed maintenance of structures for bears, wolves, bison, coyotes, foxes, one cougar, one porcupine, and one bobcat; worked to improve habitats; provided essential enrichment; monitored their health and updated nutritional care based on latest research; and provided small mammal wildlife rehabilitation services for The state of Idaho.
Earthfire Institute continued to expand public access to their location by leading two hour guided visits focused on conservation, education, and wild animals. Earthfire hosted artists and photographers to assist with conservation efforts via art and other projects to further share our mission and conservation approach of reconnection ecology.
Earthfire Institute continued to improve increased web functionality, social media, written educational outreach, and informational print media. Earthfire sent over 4,500 e-newsletters every month and approximately 1,000 semi-annual printed magazines. Twelve educational presentations about our work were provided to national and global audiences via online organizations or in person conferences.
