Inter-religious dialoguethe journal of ecumenical studies (jes), now named The dialogue institute and continuing to do business as The journal of ecumenical studies, was formed in 1964 as The first peer-reviewed journal in The field of interreligious dialogue. Born out of The ecumenical spirit of vatican ii, jes began with an emphasis on dialogue among diverse christian traditions. Its focus quickly broadened to christian-jewish-muslim dialogue and soon thereafter to dialogue among a wide array of religious traditions. The jes helps create and build an international forum for interreligious scholarship. Support of The diversity, dialogue and democracy project, which includes religious diversity tours and public engagement, dialogue and religious literacy certificate courses, a public dialogue forum series and international program development,

Support of temple university's program partnering with unesco to develop an arts dialogue camp.

Support of villanova university's project titled religion and public life. This project includes student fellowships, summer colloquia and a lecture series.
