In june 2019, The veterans administration (va) was awarded a $200,000 research grant to study The impact of our curriculum on a trans diagnostic sample of veterans. This pilot project will include a control sample as well as a trial sample of veterans who struggle with emotion regulation and social engagement. We are very pleased that The va chose our curriculum and that findings from this study may lead us to become one of two evidence-based programs for veterans in The us. Due to The covid-19 pandemic, The va-yale research was postponed until The spring of 2022. We also opened four more facilities to deliver our program to veterans in Connecticut, new jersey, Vermont and Maine. To date we have served over 1500 people in uniform - veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, military families. We have also served mental health clinicians and people in recovery from substance abuse. In 2021, we added military families and mental health clinicians to The groups we serve due to The end of The 20 year war in iraq and afghanistan as well as The additional burden on mental health providers who serve these populations. We are pleased to announce that The va completed The field work portion of The research on our curriculum in december. Findings from this study may lead us to The next round of research that will be conducted at other facilities in hopes that we will become one of two evidence-based programs for veterans in The us. We also opened three more facilities to deliver our program to veterans in Connecticut, Vermont and Maine. To date we have served over 2,500 veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, military families, mental health clinicians and people in recovery from substance abuse. In 2022, we began preparations to offer weekend retreats to veterans, first responders and their spouses which we hope to offer in The fall of this year.
