The Farm and Forest Families of Tennessee educates the public on the positive contribution agriculture makes to Tennessee's economy. They host Shooting Hunger, a sporting clay event held three times a year, which raises funds to fight hunger in local communities with approximately 1,000 sporting clay shooters participating. Agriculture Day on the Hill is also celebrated where commodity groups and agriculture businesses from across Tennessee gather in Nashville to help tell agriculture's story to the legislature and visitors. Shooting hunger is a sporting clay event held three times a year that allows agriculture and businesses in Tennessee to join together to raise funds to fight hunger in Tennessee communities. Approximately 1,ooo sporting clay shooters participated in The three sporting clay events across The state in 2023. All 95 of tennessees counties were awarded $2700 each to go to local backpack programs across The state. The total amount of grants given to fight hunger totaled $248,400 in 2023.
Agriculture day on The hill is a day that celebrates The occasion, commodity groups and agriculture businesses from across The Tennessee gather in nashville, tn to help tell agricultures story to The legislature and people visiting legislative plaza. Lunch is provided at this event for attendees.
Agriculture kids and clays is sporting clay event that benefits youth related agricultural programs in The state of Tennessee such as future farmers of america, 4-h, and, ag in The classroom. Each of these youth agricultural organizations will receive $10,000 in 2024 from this event
