The First Tee of Northern Michigan impacts the community and the lives of young people by providing educational programs that promote character development, life-enhancing values, and healthy choices through the game of golf. The organization partners with other youth organizations throughout the year to enrich the programs they offer young people, without charging anything to partner organizations. In 2022, over 446 youths benefitted from learning facilities and educational programs provided by The First Tee of Northern Michigan.

Program areas at The First Tee of Northern Michigan

Impact the lives of young people in the Northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character development and life enhancing values through the game of Golf. In 2023 over 700 youth enrolled in certifying classes and over 2500 youth were reached via outreach activities to schools and camps.
In addition to running our own programs, we partner with other youth organizations throughout the year to enrich the programs they offer young people. We do not charge anything to the partner organizations. Organizations include: public and private schools, ymca day camps, challenge mountain (mentally disabled people of all ages), and Northern Michigan autism Association.
