Program areas at The First Tee of Roanoke Valley
School programs- in 2023, we provided training, program material and access to equipment for teachers at area elementary, middle and high schools to introduce First Tee lifeskills and Golf curriculum to students. Over 16,731 children participated in these programs at area schools.
Instruction & tournaments - approximately 373 children enrolled in First Tee curriculum of life skills and Golf instruction programs conducted at The Scott Robertson Academy. Additionally, tournaments, playdays, practices and additional educational activities that involve hundreds of people annually were held at select area Golf courses.
Partnership programs - we provided Golf instructions and life skill training at area youth service organizations to 388 youngsters enrolled in 21st century centers, boys and girls club and we skelton 4 h camp. Program includes on-site visits with instructional time where life skills needed for productive lives are taught as part of learning The game of Golf.
