Program areas at The Glen at St Joseph
Glen residential program which includes one-on-one coaching and counseling; support for personal growth; support in obtaining a post-high school education; development of life-skills; and career-building opportunities. The program is a two-year comprehensive, residential program with an option to extend The stay based on specific education and/or employment goals.
Glen early learning center provides a quality education for children using a research-based curriculum focused on individual age-appropriate development and kindergarten readiness.
The Glen training center provides training in topical areas that build capacity within Glen residents, Glen graduates, and social services agencies (to assist clients they serve) in moving from poverty to self-sufficiency.
The mothers in The program pay a co-pay for The onsite daycare provided for their children. This daycare allows The mothers to move beyond The barriers to their own independence and have The time and ability to go to school and/or work while their children are at daycare. The Glen calculates fees based on The income level of The mother.
Daycare subsidies payments are received from montgomery county to help assist with The costs of providing daycare to mothers in The program.

Program rent is generated by The residential program that provides a safe, nurturing and challenging environment where women can create their own plan for self-sufficiency and where, guided by The staff and supported by The internal and external resources available, they will be able to move beyond The barriers to their own independence.
Training center payments are received from The participants of The bridges out of poverty training program.
